What to do now?

Very glad to have come across this site. I live in Inwood in Upper Manhattan and have just quit my job to work as an artist full time - pastel, pen and ink, acrylic, paper. I mix media all the time. Since I am sooooo inexperienced at living like this does anyone have any suggestions as to what associations to join or how to find exposure besides locally? I want to ultimatly get into galleries in Soho. Quite an ambition.

Artists suggestion for the President Elect

Quincy Jones has started a petition to ask President-Elect Obama to appoint a Secretary of the Arts. While many other countries have had Ministers of Art or Culture for centuries, The United States has never created such a position.

Happy New Year!

What a great way to start 2009... with an all-new website of everything I can do. (Did I mention I can walk and hop in a backbend?)

December 30th Witches In Bikinis were picked to be in the finals of MEANY Fest (meanyfest.com) beating out 250 other bands in the process. We didnt win the finals, but we WERE invited to play on Sirius Radio! Details to follow...
