Reel Short Film
We are inviting you to submit your real short films to the First Annual CLIMB Film Festival. If selected, your film will be screened in the historic Highbridge Tower, the smallest film festival venue in New York! Winners will receive beautiful trophies. We are looking for films that are 10 minutes or less and were filmed in the Greater New York metropolitan area.
City Life Is Moving Bodies (CLIMB) is a collaborative of organizations interested in promoting active living in the city. We give an annual party in Highbridge Park. We are interested in films that show active living, as well as those that show citizens working to improve their neighborhoods, including their built environment, public spaces, and parks, in ways that encourage movement. Because we will celebrating the 160th Anniversary of the Croton Aqueduct, we are also interested in films on the subject of running water.
We will present trophies for Best Film—Adult filmmaker and Best Film—Youth Filmmaker on June 7th.
Selected films will be shown on June 7, 2008, 11‐2 at The Tower, Highbridge Park, W. 173rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. This will be part of the fourth annual “Hike the Heights,” a
neighborhood hiking and activity party. To learn about Hike the Heights, you can check out our video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6CwREVO7BY.
