Dear Uptown Artists: Please Note that the deadline to be included in the Uptown Arts Stroll Print Guide has been extended to Friday, May 6, 2016. If you are exhibiting/performing, you don't want to miss this opportunity.

Artists

Visual artists, singers, musicians, dancers, poets, theater groups, etc., in Washington Heights, Inwood and West Harlem are invited to participate in the 2016 Uptown Arts Stroll. To do so, please follow these simple steps:

1. Identify potential venues or find new venues on your own.
2. Contact the identified venue(s) and make arrangements to host your event or exhibition during the Uptown Arts Stroll or longer.
3. When you have booked a venue, let us know about the arrangements — send us the information using the submission form.

We will add your information to the Exhibitions page or the Events Schedule. Note: Let us know by the print deadline, Friday 6 May 2016, and your information will also appear in the Uptown Arts Stroll Guide, 20,000 copies, distributed by The Manhattan Times and NoMAA citywide.

IMPORTANT: For visual artists, you hang your work at your own risk — venues are NOT responsible for your artwork. For all participating artists, please ensure that your event details are clear with the venue. NoMAA is not responsible for booking venues.

Open Studios

The Open Studios are when local artists open their studios for an intimate glimpse into their creative process. Open studios were a huge success in 2014 with 25 participating studios! This year, Open Studios will take place in West Harlem on Saturday 25 June 2016, 1–6 p.m., and in Washington Heights and Inwood on Sunday 26 June, 1–6 p.m.

To include your studio for visits, please fill out and submit the open studios listing form. Note: Let us know by the print deadline, Friday 6 May 2016, and your information will also appear in the Uptown Arts Stroll Guide, 20,000 copies, distributed by The Manhattan Times and NoMAA citywide.
