CALLING ALL TRADITIONAL ARTISTS in northern Manhattan/alto Manhattan! If you have one or two afternoons or evenings per month to offer, and would like to share your traditional art or craft with neighborhood kids and adults, and network with other traditional artists in Harlem, the Heights, Ft. George, and Inwood, you should consider joining the Heights Art Network.
Let's get together and create a space for a collective that can offer free arts classes to local youth and adult learners on a regular basis.
If you are a local artist working in traditional crafts such as (but not limited to) mosaic work, quilting, embroidery, shoemaking, leatherwork, weaving, crochet/knitting, lacemaking, macrame, calligraphy, carpentry/cabinetry, Japanese & other woodblock printing, stenciling, quilling, traditional Mexican/Polish/German/Jewish and other paper cutwork techniques, traditional puppetry, or other traditional forms of art, then Heights Art Network wants YOU. :)
