- About Me:
- Beth Green, a national award winning-photographer based in New York City since 1971, has spent the last fourteen years photographing corporate executives, earning acclaim from clients and critics alike. A PhotoPro cover story once credited her with developing “a formula for executive portraits that combined… perfection and her love of people to bring her success." Today, she extends that same formula to the lifestyle and advertising markets.
Before opening her own studio, Beth was among one of America ’s most respected photojournalists. Her images, while working for the wire services, appeared on the front pages of The New York Times, New York Daily News, Washington Post, and People Magazine. She covered three presidential campaigns and photographed the Queen of England and the Pope. She was the first woman photographer in a men's sport professional locker room. In 1978, Beth left the beat and joined Newsweek as a Photo Editor, handling the business section as well as the fashions & leisure section. She also edited the magazine’s annual “Best Pictures of the Year”, and collaborated on over 100 covers.
A graduate of Boston University, Beth has worked with Ansel Adams’ colleague Minor White as an assistant. She is a member of The American Association of Media Photographers, The Advertising Photographers of America, The Art Directors’ Club, and Women in Communication, and appears in Who’s Who 1999-2001. She has served as an adjunct professor of photography at Fordham University and a guest speaker for the Harvard University Women's Alumni Organization. Most recently, she has been featured in Photo District News (PDN), The Financial Times, and The New York Times.
