Tony Natsoulas brings years of experience to this guest curator task. Named by the Smithsonian as one of the top 100 craft artists in the United States, he has worked with and shown alongside some of the finest contemporary American artists of our time. The Northern California native is known internationally for his unconventional ceramics, especially for his large-scale, often whimsical figurative work. Natsoulas holds an MFA from UC Davis, where he studied under Robert Arneson, Wayne Tiebaud, Roy DeForest and Manuel Neri. He has work in numerous private collections, galleries and museums, as well as public art spaces.
Eccentric Imagery will feature several pieces each from twenty-six artists—Jim Adams, Suzanne Adan, Patrick Amiot and Briditte Laurent, Wesley Anderegg, Betty Bailey, Calyton Bailey, Ed Bisese, Mark Bulwinkel, Martin Camarata, Paul DiPasqua, Marsha Elam, Don Fritz, Arthur Gonzalez, Matthew Guest, Gale Hart, Gerald Heffernon, Lissa Herschleb, Joe Kowalczyk, Tony Natsoulas, Betty Nelson, Jim Piskoti, Mick Sheldon, Dan Snyder, Mike Stevens, and Wesley Wright.
