Event Description
Composer/playwright/song writer/pianist Barbara Blatner will perform her one-act musical “Betty and Mortie” with singers Mary Liz McNamara and Anthony Moore.Composer Neil Rolnick will perform “Making Light of It,” a song cycle based on poems by Philip Levine. Rolnick will perform on laptop computer, and will be joined by baritone Robert Osborne.
Composer/pianist Jerome Kitzke will perform “The Green Automobile,” a setting for amplified speaking pianist of Allen Ginsberg’s 1953 poem from Reality Sandwiches. Kitzke will also perform settings of Ginsberg’s “Song” from Howl and “Hum Bom!” from The Fall of America.
