Podcasts are my new thing, now that I’ve cancelled my cable tv. How lucky for me to have surfed up a podcast series meant for emerging artists like me, advising us of best practices for cultivating and maintaining relationships with exhibition venues. Each features a short interview with various gallery and museum curators, that asks the question “What Do Curators Want?” Interestingly, a large number of them feel that the artist statement isn't that vital, but is sometimes used as a tool for deeper understanding of the work. http://www.sidestreet.org/podcasts/index.html
